There are two sources of Okinawan Coral, Fossilized Coral which is mined above the sea level and Marine Coral which is vacuumed from the ocean bottom near the coral reefs. Marine Coral is heat treated and Fossilized coral is ozonated. Both processes will kill any living microbe. AlphaNutri favor fossilized coral over marine coral because the vacuuming process can be damaging to the Coral environment.

Fossilized Coral tends to have a little higher percentage of Calcium-above 30 to 38 while the Marine variety has about 24 calcium. So when you read about a company having 500 mg of Coral calcium per capsule, you know that roughly 1/3 of that is pure calcium.

All Coral Calcium comes from the Okinawan Coral and none have toxic levels of heavy metals. The Okinawan people have a well documented life longevity due to their daily ingesting of minerals from their water as a result of living on a giant fossilized coral reef.

Only the pristine white coral heads pushed up from the sea level are harvested.
